It was not only in the seventeenth century that Rembrandt’s house was full of art. Art surrounds you in the museum now—in the old house and in temporary exhibitions. The Rembrandt House Museum has an almost complete collection of Rembrandt’s etchings, with a selection on permanent display in the Print Room. In temporary exhibitions in the modern museum wing you can dive deeper into the work of Rembrandt himself, his predecessors and contemporaries, and modern and contemporary artists who were inspired by the Dutch artist.
